Location: the hotel was adjacent to restaurant and Oostende. The room was extremely pleasant and brand-new with the window open - loved it. I didn't feel like leaving, had an EXTRA SPECIAL experience and would love to come back.

The rooms are fashionable and airy, equipped with a balcony and a chair. The location is marvelous for exploring De Panne. The area is shopping just next door to the beach and coast. If going to De Panne, I would come here again.

We were especially enchanted with the room we were allocated. It seemed newly renovated as everything was so clean and sparkling. The wall colours seemed at first a little too dark, but we were later impressed by the soothing effect they had after the stressfull journey we'd just had. The young lady in reception was really very charming, and extremely accomodating with respect to our unexpected special wishes. The extensive breakfast buffet is a confirmation of the quality and expertise we had come to expect. Thank you for a wonderful time, we are looking forward to the next visit.

The hotel has welcoming staff with great service. It is close enough to the beach and town centre. The sea front, bars and restaurants are all around. The hotel is in the centre of the genteel, orderly seaside resort of De Panne in West Flanders on the North Sea, very handy for the port of Dunkirk.

Wow the hotel staff at the Royal really go out of their way to help. We arrived late due to a delay at the Eurotunnel. But hotel rang us to check that we were on our way and even meet us at the door where they guided us to a car park space, which we wouldn't have found without their help. The breakfast was exellent and the location prefect.

The warm welcome. A spacious bedroom and large well equipped bathroom. Good value four course dinner. Excellent choice of food at breakfast. Access is a little difficult at present because of road works in the town, but well worth the effort to get there.

The location of this hotel is perfect, situated in the main street with easy access to restaurants and other amenities. The room was clean and the beds were comfortable. We especially enjoyed the breakfast, which had a generous assortment of hot and cold options. we were very pleased with the service and quality of this hotel.
We highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a luxurious and comfortable stay.

Very nice hotel in a good location for shops, beach and the coast tram. Also a nice market on Saturday minutes away ! Street quiet over night and felt safe to stroll around when dark. would have liked tea making facilities in room instead of mini bar. Good quality room and bathroom. Can't fault the staff, particularly Anna, ( young lady with pony tail). Very helpfull who speaks all languages it would appear. Would go again.

Quite good location in general.
Very noisy room - it was facing the busy street so we were woken up a few times during the night by drunk people's shouting, cleaning and rubbish vehicles, shop blinds up and down etc. we felt like we were sleeping in the middle of the street! Also, there's no information on the hotel's website (or at least the one we used to book a room) that one must book dinner in advance - we turned up at the hotel's restaurant just to be informed we couldn't have dinner there as it hadn't been booked before. But we didn't know about this requirement! A "double" bed was in fact two single mattresses put together, with a huge gap in between - very uncomfortable.

Stayed at an excellent hotel in De Panne for a week. The road works are over, making car access easy. The free parking outside will soon have meters, but until then it's still free. The proprietor was extremely helpful and even provided an ice bucket and ice for our celebration. The breakfast was excellent, and the location was perfect - right in the center of town and close to the beach.

We had a fantastic stay at this hotel. Anne, the owner made us feel very welcome and couldn't do enough for us. Alongside her Mum and brother she has created the perfect retreat for adults ( This hotel would not suit families with young children). We greatly enjoyed the home cooked evening meal and the wine glasses were spectacular!! The room was at the back of the hotel which meant it was quiet, despite the hotel's location on a busy main street. We will go back one day for that romantic weekend!

Outstanding service and assistance from all staff but particularly Anne the manager. Beautiful hotel maintaining aspects of history in its fabric, but modernised where required, eg., Working lift, en- suite.Cleanliness of hotel. Close to promenade/shops/public transport. As other reviewers noted, quantity, freshness and choice of foods at breakfast is testimony to managements focus on customer needs. Bicycles - easily stored in hotel garage at no cost. Cycling nearby was fun, flat countryside obviously, but pretty with many detailed routes.
